About
AI-powered YouTube learning intelligence
The problem
If you learn from YouTube, you have probably subscribed to far more channels than you can keep up with. The feed optimises for watch time, which is not the same thing as your progress. The result is a subscription list that feels like an obligation and a recommendation engine pulling in a direction you did not choose.
People trying to learn on YouTube consistently struggle with the same things:
- Finding content that matches what you are actually trying to learn, rather than what is trending
- Discovering good channels you have never come across
- Filtering out recommendations that have nothing to do with your goals
- Organising scattered videos around a coherent learning objective
- Noticing emerging educational content before it is everywhere
- Turning hours of watching into something you can point at and call progress
Our mission
To make self-directed learning on YouTube deliberate instead of accidental — so the time you already spend watching adds up to something you chose.
Our vision
A learning layer that works with the platforms people already use, respects the creators whose work it organises, and answers to the learner rather than to a watch-time metric.
What AIYouTubeManager does
You sign in with Google and connect your own YouTube account. We import the channels you already follow through the official YouTube Data API, then analyse them: each one is scored for learning value, categorised by topic, and flagged when it has gone quiet or overlaps heavily with something else you follow.
From there the product builds around your goals rather than your watch time — a curated feed, recommendations tied to what you said you want to learn, semantic search across your library, AI-generated learning roadmaps with real videos matched to each step, and an AI mentor that has your subscriptions and history as context.
You can see the full list on the features page.
Who it is for
People who use YouTube as a primary way to learn something specific — developers and engineers keeping up with a fast-moving field, students supplementing a course, career changers working through a new discipline, and anyone whose subscription list has quietly outgrown their attention.
It is least useful if you watch YouTube mainly for entertainment. The whole product is built around the assumption that you are trying to get somewhere.
How we use AI
Large language models score and categorise channels, generate roadmaps and summaries, and power the mentor and assistant conversations. Vector embeddings make semantic search work, so you can search by meaning rather than by matching the words in a title. Retrieval over your own videos and transcripts is what keeps the assistant's answers grounded in your library instead of in generic knowledge.
AI output is assistive and can be wrong. Scores are estimates, summaries can miss nuance, and a roadmap is a starting point rather than a syllabus. The product is built to show you why it suggested something so you are in a position to overrule it, and nothing it produces should be treated as professional, academic, financial, legal or medical advice.
Our relationship with YouTube and Google
AIYouTubeManager is an independent product built on the YouTube API Services. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC, and nothing here should be read as implying otherwise.
We do not own, host, download, modify or redistribute any YouTube content. Videos belong to the creators who made them, play in YouTube's own embedded player, and always link back to YouTube so creators receive the view and the attribution.
Using AIYouTubeManager with a connected YouTube account also means accepting the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
What we hold ourselves to
Least access, revocable at any time
We ask for the YouTube permissions the product needs and no more, and you can withdraw them from your Google account at any moment without asking us.
We work with YouTube, not around it
No downloading, no re-hosting, no stripping ads, no modifying content. Videos play in YouTube's own player and link back to YouTube.
AI that shows its reasoning
Scores and recommendations come with the reason attached, so you can disagree with them. They are suggestions, not verdicts.
Your data is not the product
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. It is used to make your own recommendations better, and for nothing else.
The detail behind these sits in our privacy policy and terms of service.
